Jadran Veterani
Water polo club “JADRAN VETERANI” from Herceg Novi is the first masters water polo club in Montenegro and at the same time the first club from Montenegro that gathers former water polo players as well as all fans of water polo, swimming and sports in general. Our club actively participates in the development of recreational sports in Montenegro, intensive promotion of the city and the country, which is reflected in our activities throughout the year. And the best example of this is the international water polo tournament, which is traditionally held at the outdoor swimming pool in Škver every year, where we gather numerous masters water polo teams from Europe.
In only 8 years of existence, our club achieved notable results in masters water polo tournaments. At the Masters European Championship, which was held in Rijeka 2016, Jadran Veterani won bronze medal. The very next year, in 2017, at the Masters World Championship in Budapest, our club won fourth place. The greatest success was achieved in 2018 at the Masters European Championship, which was held in Kranj, Slovenia, where our team became the European water polo Masters champion in the 35+ age category. In 2022, gold was defended in the same category in Rome.
